Call for Papers for the 19th National Environmental Conference for Doctoral Students
The 19th National Environmental Conference for Doctoral Students (NECDS) is an international conference focusing on environmental and related disciplines. Guided by the mission of "Fostering Innovation through Exchange and Collaboration, and Achieving Mastery through Comprehensive Learning", NECDS offers a high-level platform for doctoral students in environmental and related fields to discuss emerging theories and technologies in environmental science and engineering.
Over the past eighteen years, NECDS has focused on addressing the needs of pollution control and environmental quality improvement, while remaining committed to cultivating high-level environmental talents for the country and worldwide. The conference complements routine doctoral education by providing a second classroom with guidance from renowned experts and opportunities for peer interaction. It has successfully bridged gaps between different environmental disciplines and fostered cross-disciplinary and cross-media innovation. Centered on graduate students, NECDS has become an exchange platform characterized by its self-organization and active participation.
To date, NECDS has been successfully held for eighteen sessions, attracting over 4,500 attendees. It has gained widespread recognition from scholars, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral and master's students worldwide in the environmental field, making it one of the largest platforms for researchers in the environmental field to exchange academic ideas, broaden their disciplinary perspectives, and build academic friendships.
The 19th NECDS will take place in May 2025. This year's conference is jointly hosted by Tsinghua University, the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, and the State Key Laboratory of Regional Environment and Sustainability, organized by the School of Environment of Tsinghua University, and supported by the Asian University Alliance, the Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering, Hach and Elsevier.
